Oba L. Champlin, age 71, husband of Bernice Champlin, of Queen Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. He was the brother of Clyde Champlin of Jacksonville, Florida, John L. Champlin of Florida, Naomi Lowe and Eva Mitchell both of Corbin, Kentucky, Bea Raleigh of Louisville, Kentucky, and Omega Sue Berk of Columbus, Ohio. The step father of Raymond Owens of Harlan, Kentucky, and Carol Baker of Baytown, Texas. Funeral services for Oba L. Champlin will be conducted Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilmer Evans, Rev. Billy Evans, and Rev. Tim Lowe officiating. Entombment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, Kentucky with the local D.A.V. in charge of military honors. The family of Oba L. Champlin will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday at London Funeral Home by Hugh Harris Lodge #938 F. & A.M.
